A Praying Life
This is my first attempt at a blog. Here goes…
Paul Miller’s , A Praying Life, really is right on and puts the mind and heart of a person where it needs to be-dependant on God…for everything. I find the problem of problem solving becomes independent, because we not only may not like the answers and alternatives that God stands for and provides, but simply delight in making our own way. Not only do we go away from God, but end up fooling ourselves that we love Him to start with. Just picture it, you say you love someone, and don’t listen to change thoughts and behavior(those who hear and don’t do). Instead, you do what you can to work your way.
The best quote from the book that spoke to me was, when you learn to pray, you learn to dream again. You put out the possibilities to see where God is leading and directing, and follow the adventure. Refreshing to think of life with Jesus that way when the daily doldrums set in. Best part is…it’s true, and not a made up fantasy.
